Mike Degen co-owner, producer, engineer

Mike first opened Stimulant Sound on January 1, 2000 to provide the support, skills and facilities to artists so they could create whatever their ears desired. The mission is the same today though it now goes further.  The types of people and industries served has expanded from musicians and songwriters to include film directors, vocal actors, advertising agencies, video game developers and others.

Artists such as Vanessa Daou, Aiden Leslie and Greek superstar Anna Vissi have recorded music with Mike that has gone on to chart on Billboard and attract fans from around the world with videos attracting millions of views. He has also contributed remix production and engineering work for a wide range of artists - from Public Enemy to RuPaul.

A recent audio post production project was for the film A Strange New Beauty by Shelly Silver which premiered at Centre Pompidou in Paris. Mike provides a wide range of audio post services. For the film "Color Thief", he provided the sound design and the final sound mix. It has been awarded many honors including Best Short Film at the Madrid Film Festival.

Mike's own compositions have been featured in American Horror Story as well as in many national TV advertising campaigns. He's also created original music for ESPN and a multimedia promotion for Victoria's Secret in Las Vegas.
